Confirmation Classes

Every other year, the pastor holds confirmation classes for youth in 8th and 9th grade. In these gatherings, the youth explore concepts of God, Jesus, the Bible, worship, Christian history and church identity. All points of view are welcome and free thinking is encouraged.

The teens participating in the confirmation classes are each paired with an adult member of the congregation who serves as a mentor.

When the classes have been completed, each participant is asked to decide whether to be confirmed as a full adult member of the congregation, carrying on his or her spiritual journey within this community. All of the youth are affirmed and celebrated during a confirmation service at the end of their studies.
