Weddings, Memorial Services and Funerals

Weddings, memorial services and funerals are among those life passages that we celebrate here, together with our communities and in the presence of God. These services are generally performed only for members of WCUC or others closely connected with the church, but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the pastor.

Weddings are performed for couples of all sexual orientations. Couples are expected to meet with the pastor three times prior to the wedding, in order to engage in premarital counseling and plan a meaningful service that reflects the beliefs of those involved.

Memorial Services and funerals commemorate the life of a person who has recently died. They offer an opportunity for family members and friends to share stories and express grief and gratitude, supported by the community and by the love of God.
